Salt air out here does things to equipment that inland kitchens never deal with.

That salt air gets into condenser fins, connectors, and cabinet seams and corrodes them faster than a normal service interval accounts for. I check for green corrosion on copper lines and white buildup on aluminum fins on every coastal call, whether or not that's the reason someone phoned.

We keep a technician based on the Peninsula in San Mateo County, so Coastside calls aren't waiting on our San Ramon shop. Refrigerant work is licensed under CSLB #1136642 and EPA 608 certification.

What we close on the truck.

Condenser coil and cabinet corrosion. Salt air pits copper lines and eats through aluminum fins faster near the harbor and along Main Street than it does inland. We inspect the coil and cabinet for corrosion on every visit and replace fins or lines before a small leak becomes a full recharge.
Compressor and refrigerant circuit. A corroded coil can't reject heat well, so the compressor works harder and the barrel runs warm. We check pressures and airflow, and recovery or recharge work goes through our CSLB license and EPA 608 certification.
Control board and connector corrosion. Coastal humidity and salt air get into connector pins and control board contacts and cause intermittent faults that don't show up until the machine's mid-cycle. We clean and treat connections we can save and replace boards that have already corroded through.
