I disassemble each burner, clear the ports without enlarging them, and rebuild the assemblies so all positions burn evenly at both full flame and simmer.
- Doors out of alignment on older Chateau ranges. In the pre-war houses of Estudillo Estates I meet ranges that have settled with the house floor, and the doors no longer meet the frame squarely. I level and adjust at the range, correct the hinges, and get the seal even again without disturbing cabinetry that was fitted around it.
