- CornuFe bake element burnout. The electric ovens in the CornuFe 110 fail the way most electric ovens do, with an element that blisters or opens circuit, but the access and the part are model-specific. I confirm the failure with a resistance reading, replace the element with the correct spare, and check the second oven while I am in there.
- Convection fan grinding or stopped. A CornuFe convection motor that growls on startup or quits mid-roast will bake unevenly long before it dies completely. I pull the fan assembly, check the motor bearings and blade, and replace the motor before it takes the bake results down with it.
- Burner valves getting stiff. Years of cooking grease migrate into the gas valve stems and the knobs start to fight you, which owners tolerate far too long on a range with hand-fitted controls. I service the valves with the correct grease and restore the smooth quarter-turn feel they had new. Stiff valves are also a wear warning worth catching early.
