Salt air corrodes brass trim, pits chrome, and works into gas valves and hinge pins faster than anywhere else I service. My technician covers this stretch directly out of San Mateo County, so the whole Coastside gets a real response instead of a long haul over the hill from the East Bay. These ranges are hand-assembled in France, so I diagnose the exact fault before any part gets ordered.

- Salt air corrosion on gas valve and ignitor. Coastal moisture pits the ignitor contacts and stiffens the gas valve faster than an inland kitchen ever sees. I clean and test both before deciding whether the valve actually needs replacing.
- Hinge pin and brass trim corrosion. Salt air works into the hinge pins and pits exposed brass trim on Chateau and CornuFe units near the coast. I replace the pin or the trim piece once corrosion has actually compromised the fit.
- Oven thermostat and element fault. No heat or temperature drift inside the oven cavity. I test the thermostat and the element on separate circuits so I'm only replacing the part that failed.
