The display goes dark, the fridge stops holding temperature while the compressor sits idle, or a range panel throws an error and locks up. These trace to the main control or the user interface board. We test the board inputs and outputs before we condemn anything, because a bad sensor or a loose harness can look exactly like a dead board. When the control really has failed, we match the exact board revision to your serial and set it up if the model calls for it.
Built-in refrigeration losing temperature. A Monogram column or under-counter unit that drifts warm in a South Bay kitchen usually has a sealed-system fault or a stuck evaporator fan. We separate the two first. If the fan and defrost are healthy and the box still will not cool, we open the sealed system under EPA 608 recovery, run down the leak or a weak compressor, and rebuild the loop. On a unit this expensive that rebuild is the right call.
Water and ice problems on a built-in. Slow ice, a dispenser that drips, or water pooling under the crisper. On Monogram units I check the inlet valve, the fill tube for a freeze-up, and the drain line, which clogs and sends melt water into the box. We clear the drain, flush the line, and replace the valve or dispenser parts that test bad. Simple to describe, but on a built-in it means pulling the unit carefully so the cabinetry is not marked.
