Monogram in Concord
Monogram in Concord kitchens.
Concord is a large mainstream city in the Diablo Valley, and most homes near Todos Santos Plaza and the older central neighborhoods run standard ranges. The Monogram work I do here sits in the upscale pockets, mainly Crystyl Ranch off Ygnacio Valley Road and the Clayton Valley edge toward Clayton, where custom kitchens went in with a Monogram professional range or a built-in refrigeration package. I do not pretend the brand is everywhere in Concord, because it is not.
The failure that brings me to Concord kitchens most often is on the cooking side. Monogram professional ranges use spark igniters on the sealed burners and a separate ignition system for the oven. A burner that clicks but will not catch, or lights slow, is usually the igniter or a soiled burner cap, not the whole cooktop. On the oven the temperature sensor drifts with age and the oven starts running hot or cold against the dial. I meter the sensor and check the igniter draw before I replace anything.
We are an independent shop out of San Ramon, EPA 608 certified, CSLB #1136642. The diagnostic is $75 and we waive it when you go ahead with the repair. Nothing gets ordered until you have a written quote in hand.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Range burner igniters and sealed burners. When a Monogram burner clicks without lighting, or one burner keeps sparking after the others are lit, the usual cause is a worn spark igniter, a cracked ceramic, or a burner cap that is not seated on a clean port. I clean and test each burner, check the spark module output, and replace only the igniters that are actually failing rather than swapping the whole ignition harness by default.
- Oven temperature sensors and bake ignition. A Monogram oven that overshoots or bakes unevenly usually has a temperature sensor that has drifted out of range, or a weak bake igniter that is not pulling enough current to open the gas valve. I put a meter on the sensor and read the igniter draw against spec. That tells me whether you need the sensor, the igniter, or the safety valve, so you are not paying to replace all three.
- Range control and relay boards. The electronic control on a Monogram range runs the oven relays, the display, and the safety timing. When the oven stops heating but the burners still light, or the display throws a fault code, the board or a relay on it is often the cause. I read the code, test the relay outputs, and confirm the fault before condemning the board, since a stuck safety valve can produce the same no-heat symptom.

FAQ
Monogram in Concord questions, answered.
-
How long does it take you to reach Concord from San Ramon?
From San Ramon we head up 680 through Walnut Creek into Concord, which is normally about 30 minutes when traffic is light. Crystyl Ranch and the Ygnacio Valley side are a few minutes further than central Concord. We give you a scheduled arrival window rather than a vague all-day promise. -
One burner on my Monogram range clicks but will not light. Is it safe to keep using the others?
The other burners are fine to use, but the one that keeps clicking is releasing gas while it sparks, so turn that burner off between attempts and do not leave it clicking unattended. Most of the time it is a worn igniter or a burner cap that is off its port, both quick repairs once I confirm which one it is on the visit. -
Is a Monogram professional range worth repairing instead of replacing with a standard range?
Yes, in almost every case. The burner assemblies, the oven cavity, and the gas hardware on a Monogram range are heavier duty than a standard range, and the common failures are igniters, sensors, and relays, all serviceable parts. I put the repair cost in writing first so you can compare it against a replacement, but a range in that class is built to be fixed.
