Monogram induction cooktop power board replacement in Lafayette
Problem: Two burners on the left side of this Monogram induction cooktop in Lafayette were showing an error and weren’t working properly. The five-zone cooktop was a ZHU36RSR1SS. The fault affected a pair of cooking zones on the same side of the appliance.
Diagnostics: We traced the problem to the left-side induction power board. That board drives both left burners. Each cooking zone has a coil beneath the glass, but the coils depend on the electronics that supply them. A shared board failure can therefore take out two zones at once.
The pattern helped direct the diagnosis toward the left side. It didn’t mean that both coils needed replacing. The failed component on this cooktop was the power board serving that pair.
Solution: We replaced the left-side power board. This restored operation to the two burners that had been showing the error. The photographs show the cooktop in the kitchen and the coil assemblies exposed during the work.
Result: All burners work again, including the two on the left. When arranging service for an induction cooktop, identify which zones fail and whether they display an error together. A single unresponsive zone and a pair on one side give the technician different starting points.
