Wolf double oven upper control board replacement in Half Moon Bay
Problem: The upper oven of this Wolf DO30FS double wall oven in Half Moon Bay had power but wouldn’t heat. The lower oven still worked. The owner reported seeing a spark between the control panel and the upper door when the trouble began.
Diagnostics: We traced the upper oven’s heating failure to its control/relay board. Having power at the controls doesn’t establish that the heating circuit is operating. In a double oven, a working lower cavity also doesn’t rule out a fault in the controls serving the upper one.
The location of the reported spark and the loss of heat in only the upper cavity were useful details. They helped describe the problem more precisely than a report that the whole oven had stopped working.
Solution: We replaced the upper oven control/relay board. The repair addressed the upper cavity, where the heating had failed.
Result: The upper oven heats again. If an oven loses heat after a spark, leave it switched off and arrange service. Tell the technician where you saw the spark and which cavity stopped heating. Avoid repeatedly restarting the oven to see whether the heat returns.
