The parts that vent outside or sit against an exterior wall, yes. The range hood blower, the exterior vent cap, and any control board mounted near an outside wall all show wear faster here than the same units in San Carlos or Redwood City. The refrigeration and cooking components inside the kitchen itself age closer to normal.

Is it worth fixing a Monogram range or column instead of replacing it out here?

In most cases yes, since these are built to be serviced and replacement means new cabinetry work either way. The one thing I watch for on the coast is corrosion that has gotten into structural metal or wiring beyond what cleaning and part replacement can fix. Half Moon Bay is the anchor town for the whole Coastside, and when I get a call here I am usually also covering Montara, Moss Beach, or El Granada on the same trip. The salt air off the coast is what makes Monogram appliances here age differently than the same unit inland. Vent caps, hinges, and any exposed metal corrode faster, and it shows up first on the range hood and the door hardware.

Housing runs from the older cottages near Main Street and the harbor to newer builds up in Ocean Colony and Pillar Ridge, and the newer kitchens are where I see full Monogram suites, a range paired with a refrigeration column and sometimes a wine reserve unit.

Range hood blower and vent damper corrosion. This is the failure I see most often on the Coastside and almost nowhere else. Salt air works into the range hood blower motor and the exterior vent damper, and the hood either gets loud and weak or the damper seizes shut and stops venting outside at all. I clean and treat what can be saved and replace what has corroded through, and I check the exterior cap while I am up there since that is where the damage usually starts.
Door gaskets losing their seal in the coastal humidity. A Monogram refrigeration column near the coast tends to lose its door seal earlier than the same unit inland, because the constant moisture in the air breaks the gasket down faster. A seal that has gone soft or torn lets warm, humid air in, which shows up as frost buildup or a box that struggles to hold temperature. I replace the gasket and confirm the door seats evenly all the way around.
Control board corrosion on units near an exterior wall. On a few Half Moon Bay and El Granada calls I have found the control board itself showing corrosion on the contacts, usually on units installed against an exterior wall that gets damp. That reads as random glitches, a display that resets on its own or buttons that do not respond. Cleaning the contacts fixes it early. Once the corrosion has spread, the board needs to be replaced.
