Discovery iQ software lockups mid-recipe. The connected Discovery iQ ovens freeze at the worst moments, mid-preheat with guests coming. A controlled power reset recovers most episodes, and I walk owners through that procedure so a Saturday freeze does not ruin the evening. When lockups become weekly, the controller flash storage is failing and the assembly gets replaced. Parts for these have been consistently available through the Samsung-era supply chain.
Griddle section failures on 48-inch ranges. The Broadmoor and Estudillo kitchens with 48-inch Dacor ranges use the griddle constantly, and its element and thermostat wear accordingly. Symptoms split cleanly, no heat at all points at the element or its relay, wrong temperature points at the thermostat. I test with a surface probe across the griddle plate, since these can also develop cold corners from a partially failed element, which a center-only reading would miss.
