Dacor in Alameda
Dacor in Alameda kitchens.
Alameda kitchens are a specific mix. The Victorians and Craftsman homes off Park Street were built long before a 30-inch double wall oven existed, so most Dacor installs here sit in remodeled cabinetry with tight cutouts and shallow clearances. I plan for that. Pulling a Renaissance double oven out of a hundred-year-old wall opening without chewing up the face frame takes padding, a second set of straps, and patience.
We also see Dacor showing up in the newer construction at Alameda Point and in the Gold Coast remodels, usually a wall oven paired with a Distinctive rangetop. The island air matters more than people expect. Marine moisture gets into spark modules and connector pins over the years, and I check for green corrosion on harness plugs as a standard step on any Alameda call.
ADRIUM Service Solutions is based in San Ramon. Andrew is EPA Section 608 Universal certified, CSLB #1136642, and since Samsung took over Dacor in 2016 the parts pipeline is solid, so most boards and igniters arrive within days. The $75 diagnostic is waived when you approve the repair, and repair work carries a 1-year warranty.

Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Renaissance double wall oven with one dead cavity. The classic Alameda call is a Renaissance RO230 or similar where the upper oven works and the lower one never heats. Nine times out of ten it is the relay board for that cavity. The relays pit and stick, the element gets no power, and the display keeps pretending everything is fine. I test the element and sensor first so we replace the board only when it is actually the fault.
- Distinctive rangetop clicking nonstop. Island humidity plus one good boilover and the spark module starts firing all burners continuously, sometimes even with the knobs off. Owners unplug the unit and live without it. The fix is usually a new spark module or a dried and reseated igniter switch harness, and I always check the burner base gaskets so water from cleaning does not restart the problem next month.
- Sagging oven door on older Epicure ranges. Epicure doors are heavy, and after fifteen years the hinge springs let the door drop a few degrees open at the top. Heat leaks out, bake times stretch, and the cabinet face next to the range starts to darken. New hinges and a door alignment restore the seal. I measure the gap with a feeler strip before and after so you can see the difference.

FAQ
Dacor in Alameda questions, answered.
-
How long does it take you to reach Alameda from San Ramon?
We come over on 580 through Oakland and then through the tube or across the Park Street bridge, which runs 35 to 45 minutes outside of rush hour. Alameda calls usually get grouped with Oakland and San Leandro stops on the same route, so morning slots are the easiest to book and the most predictable on timing. -
Can you still get parts for a Dacor oven from the early 2000s?
Usually yes. Samsung rebuilt the parts operation after buying Dacor in 2016, and boards for Renaissance and Epicure lines are still available or have direct substitutes. When a part is genuinely discontinued I tell you at the diagnostic and we talk about board repair services or replacement before you spend anything beyond the $75 visit. -
What does the visit cost if I decide not to repair?
The diagnostic is $75 flat. If you approve the repair we waive it entirely and you pay only the written quote. If the honest answer is that the oven is not worth fixing, you pay the $75 and get that answer in writing instead of a sales pitch.
