Lower cavity dead on double wall ovens. In Dacor doubles the lower oven works harder in most households, so its relay contacts wear first and the cavity goes cold while the upper keeps working. Before swapping the board I load-test the lower element and check the incoming voltage, because Newark's older circuits can mimic this failure. When it is the board, the replacement restores both cavities and I verify each at temperature before leaving.
Igniter glows but the oven never lights. On gas Dacor ovens the igniter and the safety valve work as a pair. An igniter that glows but draws below the valve's threshold current leaves you with a warm orange light and no flame. I clamp the circuit and read actual amperage, which settles the question in two minutes. Usually the igniter is the fix. Occasionally the valve coil has opened, and the amp reading tells me which before any part is ordered.
Door glass and hinge trouble on heavy range doors. Dacor pro-style doors carry multiple glass panes in a heavy frame, and a dropped or slammed door can shift a pane or crack the inner glass. Fogging between panes means the seal has failed and moisture is getting in. I rebuild the door on the bench, panes, gaskets, and hinges together, because reassembling old hinges onto new glass just moves the next failure a few months out.
