El Sobrante stretches along San Pablo Dam Road, with San Pablo Creek beside it and homes climbing into the hills above. The housing mixes old ranchettes, later subdivisions and condos, and roughly three quarters of it was built between 1940 and 1979. Water and ice systems

The water inlet valve, a common fridge leak.

Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Common repairs we handle.

Built-in fridge warm while the freezer stays cold. A fresh-food side that creeps warm while the freezer stays cold points to a defrost fault or a stalled evaporator fan. Frost blocks the air path and the fridge side starves. We check the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat and the fan, clear the ice, and replace the failed part.
Ice maker making little or no ice. EBMUD water is soft to moderate, so scale is rarely what stops an ice maker here. We look at the water inlet valve, a fill tube that has frozen over, and the ice maker module itself, and we check the water pressure reaching the fridge.
Gas cooktop flame yellow or uneven. A yellow or lifting flame means the burner is not getting the right mix of gas and air. A clogged port or a cap out of place is the usual cause. We clean and seat the burner parts, check the gas pressure, and test every fitting for leaks.
