Benicia sits on the north bank of the Carquinez Strait, and a large share of its houses went up between 1970 and 1995, when it grew from a small town into a bedroom suburb. Plenty of those kitchens have been redone since. On the Eastside, the West Side and in Southampton, a Dacor came in with that later remodel: a wall oven next to a gas cooktop, say, or a pro range where the original freestanding one stood.

Every oven call starts with the ERC fault history, since a failed control board and a drifting oven sensor look the same from the front and cost very different amounts to fix. Water and ice systems

Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Common repairs we handle.

ERC control showing a fault code and no heat. The ERC board stores fault codes, and they tell us where to look before anything is ordered. We test the oven sensor, the relays and the heating circuit against those codes. If the sensor reads true and the board is the fault, we order the board and install it on a second visit.
Built-in Dacor refrigerator making less ice. Benicia water is moderately hard, and its hardness shifts with the source the city is drawing from, so mineral buildup comes and goes. It settles on the inlet valve screen and in the ice maker fill tube. We test the valve and the water pressure, then replace the valve or the ice maker module, whichever one failed.
Oven running hot or cold against the dial. On a Dacor, calibration drift is often an adjustment in the control rather than a part, as long as the sensor still reads true. We check the sensor resistance, compare the oven to a thermometer through a full bake, and set the offset so the oven matches what you dial in.
