Water and ice systems

Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Control display dark after a power outage. An ERC display that stays dark after a power blip or a tripped breaker is not always a dead board. We check the breaker, the fuse and the transformer feeding the control, and the connections at the terminal block, before a board is ordered.
Pro range oven igniter glowing with no flame. A weak bake igniter on an HDPR still glows, but it cannot pull enough current to open the gas valve, so the oven lights late or stays cold. We measure the igniter's draw, replace it when it reads low, and watch a full light-off and bake before we leave.
