- Start component failures in cramped alcove installs. Boulevard kitchens tuck reach-ins into alcoves that recirculate condenser heat, and start relays and capacitors cook slowly until a warm evening finishes them. We replace the components, verify amps, and clean the coil in the same visit, because heat and a dirty coil are what killed them.
- Grease film on condensers in bakery and cafe kitchens. Bakery kitchens seem clean but butter and sugar aerosols make a sticky coil film that binds dust hard. Capacity drops through the morning bake. We degrease the coil, confirm superheat, and set a cleaning interval for the actual conditions.
- Frozen drains flooding tight prep areas. Meltwater from an iced drain has nowhere to hide in a small kitchen. We thaw and clear the line, fix the pitch, test defrost termination, and check rail lid gaskets, since worn gaskets pull humid air across the evaporator and rebuild the ice.
