- Clogged triple-ring burner that will not simmer clean. The big triple-ring burner on ILVE cooktops has fine flame ports that clog with cooking residue, and heavy wok and curry cooking accelerates it. The symptom is a flame that lifts, sputters, or burns yellow on the inner ring. Proper service means dismantling the burner, clearing every port, checking the injector, and reseating the crowns level. A wire brush from the top solves nothing.
- Dual fuel oven element burnout. Majestic dual fuel ovens run electric bake and broil elements, and heavy daily use in Fremont's larger households burns them out sooner than the brand's reputation suggests. A dead bake element shows as a broil-only oven that browns the top and leaves the bottom raw. I test resistance on each element and the wiring behind the liner, since a chafed lead can present the same way.
- Door gasket losing its grip on big double-oven units. The rope-style gasket on 48 inch ILVE ovens compresses and pulls out of its channel at the corners first. You will notice the control knobs getting hot and bake times creeping up.
