- Built-in oven control dark or not cycling. Electric ILVE ovens run the elements through an electronic control or thermostat. A failed control can leave the oven dark, or heating when it should cycle off. We check the supply, the thermostat and the control output in order, and a built-in oven usually has to slide forward out of its cabinet for that.
- Noisy cooling fan in an open-plan unit. In a condo where the kitchen opens onto the living room, a cooling fan with worn bearings is hard to ignore. The fan moves heat away from the controls while the oven runs and for a while after it shuts off. We replace a noisy or stalled fan, since running without it bakes the wiring and the selector.
- Rangetop burner that will not light. An ILVE rangetop uses the same spark module, igniter switches and electrodes as the full ranges. We test the electrode gap, the switch and the module output, then change only the part that failed. The gas-leak detector goes over the connection before we pack up.

Can a built-in ILVE oven be repaired without pulling it out of the cabinetry?
Some faults, yes. Door hinges and the gasket are front work. Control, fan and selector repairs usually mean sliding the oven forward out of the opening, which we do without taking the cabinets apart. The diagnosis tells us which case it is. -
