What we do. What we fix.

What we do

ADRIUM repairs built-in dishwashers across 39 East Bay and Tri-Valley cities: Bosch 800, Benchmark, and 500 Series, Thermador Sapphire, Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer, KitchenAid, GE Profile, and the long tail of LG, Samsung, and Electrolux. The diagnostic is $75, waived with repair, and repairs run from $250 plus parts. Bosch is the volume brand in this region and makes up most of the calls; the Sapphire shares its BSH platform and parts with the Bosch Benchmark.

Truck stocks: Bosch recirc-pump assemblies, Bosch base-pan check valves, Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer lid actuators, common door seals, water inlet valves, soap dispensers, and a calibrated leak-test dye for tracking small base-pan weeps.

Workflow: read the fault code off the panel, run diagnostic mode where the platform supports it, isolate the failure with a meter and a leak check. Quote with parts and labor. Most calls close in one visit. Bosch base-pan repairs run two to three hours on site. Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer lid actuator swaps are typically 90 minutes.

Common issues. Typical repair.

Bosch 800 Series, E15 base-pan leak code. Recirc pump seal weeping into the base pan, the float trips the E15. We pull the unit, replace the recirc pump and the base-pan check valve together (doing one without the other puts you back on the bench), reset the code, and bench-test through a full wash. Two-hour job.

Bosch Benchmark, dishes wet on top. Crystal Dry zeolite tank failure. The fix is the heater-tank module replacement. Not the door vent fan. We test the zeolite tank temperature rise on diagnostic mode before ordering parts.

Thermador Sapphire, same E15. Same fix as the Bosch 800. The Sapphire is a re-skinned Benchmark. Parts are interchangeable; we order on the Thermador part number when warranty applies.

Fisher & Paykel DishDrawer, F1 lid actuator fault. Lid motor failure. We replace the lid motor and the lid seal together. Doing only the motor leads to a leak within six months. The seal at the same time is the right call.

KitchenAid, no drain. Drain pump impeller cracked from a foreign object (cherry pit, broken glass). 30-minute swap. We open the impeller chamber and clear debris before we install the new pump.

LG and Samsung, OE code. Drain hose kinked or drain pump impeller cracked. We check the hose routing under the counter first because installer error is the cause about half the time. Cheaper than a pump.

Bosch panel-ready install, door alignment off. Custom panel sags, magnet alignment lost, door pops open mid-wash. We re-shim the hinge and re-set the door spring tension. Half-hour fix that other shops do not bother with.

A Dishwasher Pump and Sump Leak, On Camera

The base of a Whirlpool-family dishwasher (Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Maytag), where the circulation pump, sump, and diverter live. A worn pump seal, a cracked sump, or the diverter lets water past and onto the floor.

Repair or replace?

We will be straight about the math. Dishwasher repairs run from $250 plus parts, sometimes more, and a decent new machine is not far above that. Once you add a control board or a circulation pump, you are often spending most of the price of a new dishwasher to keep an old one going. So on many units the honest answer is replace, not repair, and a diagnosis tells us which one you have.

It also depends on the brand. Samsung and LG are the worst of the bunch: control boards, control panels, communication errors between boards, and gasket and seal leaks, all common and expensive relative to a new unit. On those, replacement almost always wins. Whirlpool and KitchenAid (KitchenAid is Whirlpool-made) fail the same way, with circulation pumps and burned-out boards, both pricey jobs. Bosch is better built but costly to fix, with pump leaks, Zeolite-drying issues, and flooding. Bosch builds the heating element into the pump, so a heating problem can mean replacing the whole pump assembly.

When the fault is simple, a clogged drain, a worn gasket, a door latch, and the machine is otherwise in good shape, a repair is worth it. The $75 service call includes full diagnostics, and on a dishwasher that diagnosis is the whole game: it tells you if you are looking at a cheap fix or a repair that approaches the cost of a new machine. We quote before any work, and we will not talk you into a repair that costs more than it is worth.

What do customers ask about Dishwasher Repair?

  • Why does my Bosch 800 keep getting an E15 code?
E15 is the base-pan leak code. The recirc pump seal is weeping into the base pan and the float trips the code. We pull the unit, replace the recirc pump and the base-pan check valve together, reset the code, and bench-test through a full wash. Two-hour job. Replacing only one of those two parts puts you back on the bench in months.
  • Is it worth fixing a 10-year-old dishwasher?
Usually yes for Bosch, Thermador, Fisher & Paykel, and KitchenAid. The build quality justifies it. For low-end LG, Samsung, and Whirlpool, we run the math: if the parts and labor exceed half of replacement cost, we say so. Honest answer beats a big repair bill on a tired machine.
  • Do you service KitchenAid dishwashers?
Yes. We do not have a KitchenAid brand page yet, but we service them every week. The common calls are drain pump impeller cracks and the soap dispenser door latch. Both are quick fixes.
  • My Bosch 800 has dishes wet on top. Is the heating element dead?
No. Bosch 800 (and Benchmark) use Crystal Dry zeolite drying instead of a heating element. Wet dishes mean the zeolite tank has failed. The fix is the heater-tank module replacement. We test the zeolite tank temperature rise on diagnostic mode before ordering.
  • Can you install a panel-ready dishwasher?
Yes, when the kitchen door panel and the mounting hardware are on site. We re-shim the hinge, set the door spring tension to match the panel weight, and verify the door does not pop open mid-wash.
