What breaks. What we fix.
ADRIUM repairs Bosch French-door and built-in refrigerators, induction cooktops, and wall ovens across 56 Bay Area cities, with a $99 diagnostic waived when you book the repair. Bosch’s dishwasher lineup, the 800 Series and Benchmark units built around the same recirc pump and drain pump as the 500 Series, is where a lot of the brand’s reputation comes from. It’s also the one Bosch category we don’t service, and that’s worth explaining up front rather than burying it.
Bosch dishwashers are not a repair we take on, and that holds whether the schedule is packed or slow. It isn’t a knock on how they run: Bosch builds a genuinely capable dishwasher, quiet and well engineered, Crystal Dry zeolite-tank drying included. It’s the economics. Parts pricing on a Bosch dishwasher, measured against what the machine costs new, makes a repair a bad buy more often than not, and we’d rather say that upfront than run up a bill chasing a noisy pump bearing or a partial dry cycle. If yours has failed, replacement is the honest answer.
Bosch 800 Series French-door refrigerators have an evaporator-fan icing issue in the freezer compartment. The defrost-cycle heater runs but the drain line freezes shut, water pools, and freezes the evap fan into the back wall. Symptom is loud fan rattle for a week, then warming fresh-food side. We pull the back panel, thaw the line, replace the drain heater and the fan motor in one trip.
The built-in side-by-side units are a different animal. They run an inverter compressor and a magnetic solenoid valve that diverts refrigerant between the fresh-food and freezer coils, so a one-sided cooling problem is often that valve or its control, not the compressor. We check the valve and read the NTC sensors before opening the sealed system. The other Bosch side-by-side call is the motorized glass shelf, which vibrates, runs noisy, or stops moving. Bosch revised the slider and shelf mechanism across several production dates, so the fix depends on the build date and we match the updated part rather than reinstalling the old one. The temperature-controlled drawer and its NTC sensor are the third common call. This whole refrigeration lineup sells well above our $1,000 threshold for a mainstream repair to make sense, which is why we take these calls without hesitation and start sealed-system rebuilds at $500.
Induction cooktops throw an F47 or E5 code for IGBT power-module overheating. Nine times out of ten it’s a blocked cooling-fan vent under the cooktop, not a board failure. We pull the unit, vacuum the fan intake and the heat sink, and verify the IGBT temperature with a thermal probe. Saves the customer a $900 board on a $5 dust problem.
Wall ovens use the same European-style hidden bake element. When it fails, no glow from the bottom and the oven cycles cold. Element replacement is two hours and one visit if we get the model number from you ahead of the appointment. Bosch wall ovens run at or above our $1,500 professional-tier threshold for oven repair, so this is squarely inside what we take on.
Furnace or AC also on your mind? That’s our Bay Area HVAC Service division, and the assessment visit is free if you’re facing a system replacement.

Bosch questions, answered.
-
My Benchmark dishwasher is leaving dishes wet on top. Why?
Crystal Dry zeolite tank failure. The fix is the heater-tank module replacement, not the door vent fan. We test the zeolite tank temperature rise before ordering parts. -
Bosch 800 Series fridge is rattling and warming up. What is it?
Evaporator-fan ice-in caused by a clogged defrost drain. We pull the back panel, thaw the line, replace the drain heater and the fan motor in one trip. -
What does an F47 or E5 fault on a Bosch induction cooktop mean?
IGBT power-module overheating. Nine times out of ten it is a blocked cooling-fan vent under the cooktop, not a board failure. We clean, verify, and the cooktop is back in service. -
Do you replace Bosch wall oven elements?
Yes. The European-style hidden bake element is a two-hour single-visit job if we have the model number ahead of the appointment.
