Menumaster in Burlingame
Menumaster commercial service.
Menumaster is ACP's commercial microwave line, the same shop that builds Amana Commercial, and in Burlingame you find them exactly where you would expect: behind the counters on the Broadway restaurant row, in the delis and c-stores feeding station commuters, and in the SFO-adjacent food service operations running heat-and-serve all day. The CFT, DEC, and RCS units in the 1000 to 1200 watt range are the workhorses.
These machines are built to cycle hundreds of times a shift, and when one quits it stops the line. A deli that steams sandwiches on an RCS unit does not have a plan B. That is why most of our Menumaster calls in Burlingame are same-week, and why we carry the high-failure parts on the van instead of ordering them after the visit.
Diagnostic is $75, waived when you approve the repair, and commercial microwave work carries our standard 1-year repair warranty.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Unit runs but does not heat. The most common Menumaster ticket. On a machine cycling all shift, the magnetron, the high-voltage diode, or the capacitor eventually gives out. We test the high-voltage circuit properly and safely, discharge the capacitor first, and replace the failed component rather than condemning the whole oven.
- Door interlock switch failure from slam cycles. Counter staff slam these doors hundreds of times a day, and the interlock switches wear until the unit goes dead or blows a fuse the moment the door closes. We replace the full switch set and check door alignment, because a misaligned latch will chew through new switches in a month.
- Uneven heating or arcing inside the cavity. Cold centers on a steady program point to a failed stirrer motor or a worn antenna assembly. Arcing usually means a burned waveguide cover soaked in grease. Both are quick repairs, and we clean and inspect the cavity so the fix lasts through the next rush season.

FAQ
Menumaster in Burlingame questions, answered.
-
Our counter microwave died this morning. How fast from San Ramon to Broadway in Burlingame?
About 50 minutes door to door via 92 and 101 north, and dead commercial equipment gets priority. We route Burlingame with Hillsborough calls, so we are in this pocket regularly. Give us the model number, RCS, DEC, or CFT, when you call and we load the right magnetron and switch kit before leaving. -
Is it worth repairing a commercial microwave or should we just buy another?
Menumaster units cost real money, often north of a thousand dollars for the heavy-duty models, so a magnetron or interlock repair at a fraction of that is usually the right call. If the cavity is rusted through or the control deck is failing on an old unit, I will tell you to replace it and not charge you for wishful thinking. -
Can you check both of our units while you are here?
Yes, and you should ask for it. If one unit on the line failed from slam wear or grease intake, its twin is usually close behind. We will run through the second machine's door switches, filter, and heat output on the same visit for a small add-on rather than a second trip charge.
