Amana Commercial in San Bruno

Amana Commercial commercial service.

San Bruno sits between San Francisco and the Mid-Peninsula, and we cover the restaurants along San Bruno Avenue, the food court and nearby tenants at the Shops at Tanforan, and the corporate campuses off Bayhill Drive with their own break room and cafeteria units. Neighboring South San Francisco, Millbrae, and Pacifica are all part of our regular run.

A corporate break room microwave and a restaurant kitchen unit fail differently. The break room unit usually shows keypad wear from constant single-button use, reheating the same few settings all day. The restaurant unit takes more abuse from grease buildup around the door seal and interlock switches. We look at how the unit is actually used before we start pulling it apart.

We are a San Ramon company, but San Bruno sits inside the coverage area of our Peninsula-based technician, not the East Bay side of the route. The $99 on-site diagnosis is credited toward the repair, and the quote is in writing before we touch anything.

Common repairs we do

What we close on the truck.

  • Membrane keypad wear. Constant single-cycle use in a break room setting wears through the membrane keypad fast, leaving dead buttons or ghost presses. We swap in the correct panel for RC, RMS, or HD series units.
  • Magnetron and high-voltage diode. A unit that will not heat, or barely heats, usually has a failed magnetron, a bad HV diode, or a capacitor on its way out. We test the high-voltage circuit with the unit isolated and swap only the part that failed.
  • Door seal and interlock switch wear from grease. Grease buildup around the door gasket keeps the interlock switch from seating right, which either stops the unit from starting or trips the line fuse. We clean the seal area and replace the switch if it has already worn out.

FAQ

Amana Commercial in San Bruno questions, answered.

  • Do you cover the corporate campuses off Bayhill, or just the restaurants on San Bruno Avenue?
San Bruno calls go to the same tech who already lives on this side of the bay, in San Mateo County, so getting to Bayhill Drive or San Bruno Avenue does not depend on East Bay traffic.
  • Do you carry the parts, or order them after you look at it?
Common wear parts, door switches, line fuses, diodes, capacitors, ride on the truck. Magnetrons and model-specific keypads we typically source through ACP, so the wait is usually short.
  • What does a repair cost?
It is $99 for the diagnostic, dropped from the total the second you approve the repair. You see the written number before we start, so nothing changes once the work begins.
