  • Touchpad and keypad failure on HDC1215 units. In cafeteria service everyone hits the same two preset buttons all day. The membrane under those pads fails first, and staff work around it with odd time entries until the workaround breaks too. I replace the touch panel assembly and reprogram the presets so the line goes back to one-touch operation.
  • Magnetron end-of-life on high-cycle RC22S2 units. A 2200 watt unit doing lunch service five days a week will eat through a magnetron eventually. The tell is rising cook times with no error codes. I verify output against spec before replacing anything, because a weak magnetron and a failing stirrer motor produce complaints that sound identical to kitchen staff.
  • Thermal cutout trips from blocked filters. Cupertino kitchens with wok and fryer stations nearby coat the air filter fast. The unit shuts down mid-peak, cools for twenty minutes, then works again, which convinces people it is haunted. It is airflow. I clean the path, check blower amperage, and put the filter on the kitchen's cleaning schedule.
