Wine fridge Breezeaire compressor replacement
Problem: The customer reported that their Breezeaire wine cooler stopped cooling and was making a clicking sound when trying to start. The temperature inside the cabinet kept rising, risking the stored wine collection.
Diagnostics: Our technician inspected the unit and confirmed that the compressor was failing to start due to internal mechanical damage. The relay and capacitor were tested and found functional, confirming the compressor itself was the source of the problem.
Solution: We replaced the old, faulty compressor with a new energy-efficient unit compatible with the Breezeaire model. The system was vacuumed, sealed, and recharged with refrigerant. After installation, we performed a full leak and performance test to ensure proper cooling efficiency.
Result: The wine cabinet holds 55F across the storage volume and runs quietly. The collection is back in safe storage; turnaround was one visit plus the part order.
