LG top-load washer drain pump replacement in Danville
Problem: A homeowner in Danville has an LG top-loader, a WT7600HKA with Inverter Direct Drive. It kept stopping in the middle of a cycle and wouldn’t drain. The tub was left full of water.
Diagnostics: On the first visit our technician found the drain pump had failed. A washer that can’t drain can’t move on to the spin, so it stops partway and waits. That matches what the owner saw.
Solution: We came back with a new drain pump. Our technician opened the cabinet to reach the pump. We took the old one out, put the new one in and secured the connections. Then we put the washer back together and ran a drain and a spin, checking for leaks.
Result: The washer drains and spins again. If your LG stops with water in the tub, look at the drain hose behind it for a kink first. If the hose is fine and the display shows OE, that’s LG’s drain error, and the pump is one of the things we check, so call us.
