Problem
The upper broil element in this GE Profile Spectra range in Dublin, CA, had failed. It had burn marks and a break in the circuit.
Diagnostics
The damaged part was the upper broil element. The photos show the old and new elements side by side on the cooktop, along with a closer view of the damaged area.
Solution
We replaced the broil element. The lower bake element was not the part replaced in this repair.
Result
