Electrolux dryer maintenance in Danville
Problem: There wasn’t one, and that’s the best time to call. A homeowner in Danville has a matching Electrolux front-load washer and electric dryer, and they asked for a general maintenance checkup. No specific fault, just a look inside before something goes wrong.
Diagnostics: A dryer collects lint in places the lint screen never sees. Some of it gets past the screen and settles in the cabinet, around the blower and in the ducts inside the machine. Over time that cuts airflow, and a dryer with poor airflow runs hotter and takes longer to dry a load. You can’t see any of it without taking the dryer apart.
Solution: Our technician opened the dryer up and took the drum out. Then we cleaned out the inside: lint and debris from the cabinet, the blower housing and the air ducts we could reach. With everything open, we went over the parts that wear: the heating system, the drive belt, the drum rollers and the idler pulley. The wiring connections and the airflow got checked too. Then the dryer went back together, and we ran it to check that it heated, moved air and ran the way it should.
Result: The dryer went back in service clean inside, with its wear parts looked over. If you dry a lot of towels or have pets, lint builds up inside the machine faster. One thing we don’t do is clean the house vent run itself. We’ll check the airflow, and if the run is restricted we’ll tell you and point you to a vent specialist. We service Electrolux washers and dryers in Danville and across the East Bay.
