Space is tight in these builds, and that tight fit is usually part of why the drain routing on the fridge clogs faster than it would in a bigger kitchen.

KF Column Defrost Drain Clog. In the tighter condo installs downtown, the KF column's defrost drain clogs and the water has nowhere to go but out under the unit, sometimes tracking across to a wood floor before anyone notices. I clear the line, check the drain heater, and confirm the unit has enough clearance behind it to keep condensation from building up again.
MasterCool Column Running Warm or Icing Up. The remodeled homes with full-size MasterCool columns tend to bring me in for a compartment running warm, and I've learned not to assume it's low refrigerant right away. A weak evaporator fan mimics the same symptom, so I check fan draw and coil split first and only go looking for a leak if those check out fine.
G Series Dishwasher Drain Pump, Inlet Valve, and Control Faults. With this many restaurants and cafes nearby feeding takeout habits, home dishwashers here still get run daily, and the G Series units eventually wear out a drain pump or an inlet valve. I read the fault code off the display first so I'm replacing the part that actually failed.
