Fujitsu in Palo Alto
Fujitsu heating and cooling in Palo Alto.
Palo Alto has a heavy concentration of Eichler homes with radiant slab heat and flat roofs, plus older two-story homes in the north neighborhoods. The Eichlers cannot easily take ducts, so Fujitsu ductless is the natural cooling solution, often with slim ceiling cassettes to keep the clean Eichler lines. Older homes use wall heads.
HVAC runs through Bay Area HVAC Service. Palo Alto's climate is bay-moderated and mild, so the cooling load is modest, but the warm fall stretch and indoor air quality during smoke season keep these systems busy. Fujitsu inverter engineering is quiet and efficient, which suits these homes, and the units are worth repairing for the long run.
ADRIUM is EPA 608 Universal certified, CSLB 1136642. The $75 diagnostic is waived with the repair and every job gets a written quote first.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Ceiling cassette lift pump failure in Eichlers. Slim cassettes set into Eichler ceilings use a condensate lift pump that clogs and trips the float switch, shutting the head down. I service or replace the pump and flush the drain so it stops faulting.
- Outdoor board heat damage on flat roofs. Fujitsu outdoor units placed on hot flat Eichler roofs can cook the PCB over years of sun. The compressor will not start and a code logs. I verify the board and replace it instead of condemning the unit.
- Slow flare leak from reused fittings. Some older Palo Alto installs reused flares that weep over time, and capacity falls off gradually. I remake the flare, pressure test with nitrogen, evacuate to a deep vacuum, and recharge by weight.

FAQ
Fujitsu in Palo Alto questions, answered.
-
How long is the drive from San Ramon to Palo Alto?
Palo Alto is a Peninsula trip for us, usually 45 to 60 minutes depending on the bridge traffic. We schedule it with Mountain View and Los Altos to make the route efficient. -
Can a Fujitsu cool my radiant-heat Eichler without ducts?
Yes. Ductless is the right fit for a slab-heated Eichler since adding ducts is not practical. If your existing Fujitsu quit, we diagnose and repair it. -
Do you repair slim ceiling cassettes to keep the Eichler look?
We do. Cassettes are common in Palo Alto Eichlers, and their pumps and float switches are the usual repair, which we handle on site.
