Fujitsu in Newark
Fujitsu heating and cooling in Newark.
Newark is mostly flat 1960s and 1970s slab-on-grade tract housing close to the bay. These homes ran on simple gas furnaces with marginal cooling, and because they sit on slabs the cheapest comfort upgrade is ductless. Fujitsu single-zone and dual-zone systems are common here, feeding the living room and a main bedroom.
We handle HVAC under Bay Area HVAC Service. Newark gets bay moisture and salt air near the shoreline, which is hard on outdoor coils, so corrosion is a real factor on the AOU condensers in this part of town. Fujitsu builds solid hardware, and with regular coil care these units last. When they fault it is usually a sensor, a capacitor, or coil fouling.
ADRIUM is EPA 608 Universal certified, CSLB 1136642. We waive the $75 diagnostic with the repair and quote every job in writing before we start.
Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Corroded outdoor condenser coil near the shoreline. Salt air off the bay eats the aluminum fins and copper on Newark condensers. Capacity drops and the unit overheats. I clean and treat the coil, and if a tube is leaking I locate and repair it before recharging.
- Outdoor fan motor capacitor failure. The run capacitor on the Fujitsu outdoor fan weakens with heat and age, the fan struggles to start, and the unit trips on high pressure. I test the capacitor under load and replace it with the correct microfarad rating.
- Wall head blower wheel fouled with bay-air grime. Damp coastal air loads the blower wheel and evaporator with film, so airflow and cooling fall off. I pull and deep clean the wheel and coil, which brings the head back to rated output.

FAQ
Fujitsu in Newark questions, answered.
-
How far is Newark from your San Ramon shop?
We take 680 south through Fremont to reach Newark, usually 30 to 45 minutes. We run Newark, Fremont, and Union City together, so it is an easy area to schedule. -
Does the salt air near the bay shorten a Fujitsu's life?
It hits the outdoor coil hardest. The unit itself is fine if you keep the coil clean and treated. We do that service and repair any corrosion damage we find. -
My house is on a slab with no ducts. Is ductless the right fix?
For a Newark slab home, yes. Adding ducts is expensive and disruptive, and a Fujitsu mini-split avoids it. We repair and maintain the ones already installed here.
