The $75 diagnostic is waived if you have us do the repair, and you get a written quote before any part is ordered. What we close on the truck.

Condenser coil packed with grease and dust. A City Center restaurant running a Horizon unit through a full lunch and dinner service builds a grease film on the condenser coil, and once that coil is fouled it can't shed heat properly. Head pressure and amp draw climb a little more every cycle after that, and the run capacitor is usually the first part to fail since it's the weakest electrical link in the circuit.
Fill valve or drain path scaling up. Bishop Ranch break room units running long hours across a full workday build scale in the water inlet steadily, and the fault that shows up is a low production error rather than a shutdown. I've seen offices go a week or more assuming the unit was just cycling slow before anyone flagged it.
Auger motor and gearbox wear. On units in service five to seven years without the gearbox oil ever getting checked, the auger flight wears down or the gear train develops enough slack that pellets barely reach the bin. The motor still runs and the water still fills, so from the outside it looks like the machine is working when it's really just spinning.
