Dublin has grown fast, and a lot of the Follett equipment I service here is newer, installed in corporate park break rooms along Hacienda Drive or in restaurant buildouts around Dublin Ranch and the Hacienda Crossings retail centers. Newer doesn't always mean trouble free though, a fair number of the calls I get on recent installs trace back to something the original installer missed rather than normal wear.

Condenser Coil Fouling and Capacitor Failure. Even on a newer unit, if it was installed in a tight mechanical closet without enough clearance around the condenser, it will foul and overheat faster than the same machine in an open space would. Head pressure and amp draw climb every cycle until the run capacitor fails, sometimes within a couple years on a new install if clearance was never right to begin with. I check installation clearance as part of the diagnostic on newer Dublin units.
Water Inlet or Drain Blockage. New construction plumbing can have debris left in the lines from the build itself, and that debris finds its way to the ice machine's water inlet and shows up as a low production fault not long after opening. I flush the inlet line and check for construction debris before assuming it's a machine defect.
Auger Motor and Gearbox Wear. Corporate break room units in Dublin's newer office parks run lighter volume than a restaurant, so auger and gearbox wear here is less common, but when I do find it on a newer machine it often points back to a manufacturing tolerance issue rather than age. I test amp draw under load either way before recommending parts.
