Hayward is a laundry-and-fridge town for me. The flats through Fairway Park, Mt Eden, Tennyson, and the Southland area off the four ZIPs from 94541 to 94545 are mainstream stock, and that's Amana's home. The Hayward Hills built-ins are a different layer. Down in the flats, Amana top-load washers and dryers run the same platform as Whirlpool and Maytag, same failure modes, same parts.

Most of my Amana work in Hayward is laundry. The top-loaders wear out at the tub bearing first, and you'll hear it long before it quits, a low growl that climbs on the spin cycle.
