Water and ice systems

The water inlet valve, a common fridge leak.

Every fridge with a dispenser or ice maker has a water inlet valve. The fittings can leak under the cabinet, or the solenoid fails and the dispenser and ice maker stop getting water.

Common repairs we handle.

Cracked water line behind a condo fridge. Plastic supply lines and compression fittings behind the fridge crack with age or when the unit is pushed back too hard. We shut off the water, replace the line with a braided one, and check the valve inlet. Then we look for water that has already reached the floor.
Defrost drain overflowing onto the floor. A clogged defrost drain sends melt water past the pan and out under the fridge. We pull the rear panel, clear and flush the drain, and watch the water reach the pan. Many of these jobs need no new part at all.
Liebherr BioFresh drawer too wet or too dry. When a BioFresh drawer loses its humidity setting, the cause is usually a drawer not fully seated on its rail or a failing sensor, not the main control. We check the rails and the sensor reading before replacing anything.
