On any pro burner I meter the gas valve micro-switch and spark module before I condemn a part, and on Fisher & Paykel flame-failure codes I go straight to the thermocouple, which is the usual culprit.

- Wolf range, Star burner or broiler will not light. On the surface burners it is the electrode, carbon, or the spark module. On the broiler the IR igniter and thermocouple go together. I clean and re-gap, then meter the valve micro-switch.
- Thermador wall oven set in a custom column, dead bake element. Hidden European element, and the tight cabinetry is half the job. I block the unit, protect the panels, pull it, swap the element, verify resistance, and run a full bake cycle before reinstall.
- Fisher & Paykel cooktop, flame-failure code. Weak thermocouple nearly every time. I carry the common thermocouples and igniters, so most of these close out the same visit.
- Wall oven temp sensor drift. Oven running hot or throwing an over-temp fault. RTD has drifted. Sensor swap is quick and the control board usually checks out fine.
