What breaks. What we fix.
U-Line built-in units fit in cabinetry that doesn’t forgive a mistake. Pull the unit wrong and you tear the surround. We pull these correctly. Sealed-system and compressor repairs on these built-in units are backed by a 2-year warranty.
Wine reserve compressors run continuously to hold the dual-zone temperatures, and the condenser coil cakes up faster than a kitchen fridge. Symptom is a unit that holds the upper zone but drifts warm on the lower zone, or the opposite. Nine times out of ten the answer is a coil clean and a condenser-fan motor swap. The compressor itself is usually fine if we get to it in time.
Dual-zone wine units have a damper-motor failure that shows up as both zones reading the same temperature. The damper actuator on the 2218 and 3036 series is a small DC motor that fails open. Replace, recalibrate the temp sensors, verify split-zone hold over a 24-hour cycle.
Undercounter ice makers throw a no-ice condition that is almost always water-inlet related. The factory braided-line connection at the back kinks against the cabinet wall on the install. We pull, replace with a longer braided line, and confirm the fill cycle. Drain pumps on the gravity-drain conversions are the other common ice-maker call.
Outdoor refrigeration units suffer from condenser-fan corrosion in coastal microclimates. We replace with the marine-grade fan motor and check the door gasket for UV cracking at the same time.
The 2000 and 3000 series share enough parts that we carry door gaskets, evap fans, and damper motors on the truck. Single-visit repair is normal on these.

U-Line questions, answered.
-
My U-Line wine reserve holds one zone but drifts on the other. Why?
Nine times out of ten the answer is a coil clean and a condenser-fan motor swap. The compressor itself is usually fine if we get to it before it overheats. -
How do I pull a U-Line out of cabinetry without damaging the surround?
You don't. We do. Pulling a U-Line wrong tears the surround. We have the right straps, dollies, and patience to pull it clean. -
Both zones on my dual-zone wine read the same temperature. What's broken?
Damper-motor failure. The actuator on the 2218 and 3036 series fails open. We replace, recalibrate the temp sensors, and verify the split-zone hold over a 24-hour cycle. -
Do you service outdoor U-Line units?
Yes. Coastal-microclimate corrosion is the most common outdoor failure. We replace with marine-grade fan motors and check the door gasket for UV cracking.
