- Scaled ice thickness probe on Indigo NXT cubers. South Bay water leaves mineral scale on the ice thickness probe, so the iT0450 and iT0500 read a bridged sheet that is not there and drop into long freeze cycles with thin, hollow cubes. We descale or replace the probe, verify the freeze cycle time against spec, and check the water filter that let the scale through in the first place.
- Fouled air-cooled condenser in tight Murphy Avenue kitchens. Downtown Sunnyvale line kitchens push grease mist and flour dust straight into the condenser coil. Head pressure climbs, production drops, and the machine eventually trips its high pressure safety on a hot Friday night. We deep clean the coil, confirm the fan motor draws correct amps, and log discharge pressures before we leave.
- Dump valve leak-by on NEO undercounter units. The NEO machines in Moffett Park break rooms often develop a dump valve that never fully seats. Sump water bleeds out during the freeze cycle, yield falls, and the cubes come out cloudy. We replace the dump valve, test the water level probe, and run a full freeze and harvest cycle to confirm the fix.
