Integrated and panel-ready columns carry the same door-gasket problem every built-in has. A custom wood or panel front is heavy, and the hinge tension and gasket seal both take the load. When a gasket loses its seal, the compressor runs long, the cabinet sweats at the frame, and the failure looks bigger than it is. We check seal, hinge alignment, and door closure before we chase anything electronic.
Water where it should not be is the other frequent call, and it is almost always a defrost drain, not a leak in the sealed system. Defrost water on a Liebherr runs off the evaporator to a drain that clogs with the same debris every built-in collects over the years. Cleared, the water stops and the unit holds temperature the way it should.
On the wine columns, dual-zone units that drift, one zone holding while the other creeps warm, usually trace to a damper or a single zone’s evaporator fan, not the compressor.
