What breaks. What we fix.

ADRIUM repairs Frigidaire Professional built-in refrigeration, the all-refrigerator and all-freezer column pairs like the FPRU19F8RF, across 45 Bay Area cities, with a $99 diagnostic waived when you book the repair. The Frigidaire badge covers two products that don’t have much in common past the name. Professional is a genuine built-in line, panel-ready columns built to a standard the rest of the lineup doesn’t touch. The standard top-freezer and side-by-side units sold under the same name are a different machine entirely, and that split is worth laying out before anything else.

Standard Frigidaire top-freezer refrigerators and the basic side-by-side line are not a repair we take on, and that’s a permanent policy, not a slow-week call. It isn’t a knock on how they run. It’s the math. These sell new for a few hundred dollars, well under our roughly $1,000 threshold for a mainstream refrigerator repair to make sense, and a compressor or control-board swap on one routinely costs more than the fridge is worth. We’d rather say that upfront than run up a bill chasing a part on a machine that’s cheaper to replace. If yours has failed, a new fridge is the honest answer.

The Professional columns are the opposite case. An all-refrigerator or all-freezer column runs its own sealed system behind a panel-ready front, and when one of these stops cooling after years in service, a slow refrigerant leak is usually the cause before a dead compressor is. As the charge bleeds down, the compressor runs longer and longer trying to hold temperature, until it can’t keep up at all. The fix is a full sealed-system rebuild: recover what’s left, find the leak, replace what failed, braze in new line, evacuate, and recharge. We hold EPA certification for that work (EPA #1279674151528) and back a rebuild with a 2-year warranty.

We did exactly that on a Frigidaire Professional built-in column in a hill-home kitchen in Saratoga, the kind of remodel off Pierce, Saratoga-Sunnyvale, and Big Basin Way that usually runs Sub-Zero and Wolf. This one had a Frigidaire Professional column instead, with a slow R134a leak that had gone unnoticed for months while the compressor worked harder to compensate. We replaced the evaporator and the filter-drier, pressure-tested the repaired line, and recharged the system. The column holds its temperature now instead of straining to get there.

The Professional column lineup sells well above our $1,000 threshold for a mainstream refrigerator repair to make sense, which is why we take these calls without hesitation and start sealed-system work at $500.

Furnace or AC on your list too? That’s our Bay Area HVAC Service division, and the assessment visit is free if you’re weighing a full system replacement.

A Sealed-System Leak Repair, On Camera

Nitrogen pressure and a soap-bubble test on a built-in fridge line set. We map every leak source before we braze.
The corroded copper up close. After years in service this is why a real fix rebuilds the sealed run, so you do not pay the labor twice.

Frigidaire questions, answered.

  • Do you repair standard Frigidaire top-freezer refrigerators?
No, and that is a settled policy rather than a scheduling answer. Those units sell new for a few hundred dollars, and a compressor or control-board repair usually costs more than the fridge is worth. We would rather tell you that on the phone than after a $99 visit.
  • What Frigidaire equipment do you take?
Frigidaire Professional built-in refrigeration: the all-refrigerator and all-freezer columns and the trimmed-in installs built around them. That is equipment worth repairing, sealed-system work included.
  • My Frigidaire Professional column is not holding temperature. What is it?
On a paired install the two columns run separate sealed systems, so a warm side and a cold side narrows it quickly. Beyond that it is usually a refrigerant leak, an evaporator fan, or a defrost fault. We diagnose before quoting, because a refrigerant repair quoted over the phone is a guess.
  • Can you just add refrigerant to top it up?
No. Refrigerant is not consumed, so a low charge means it leaked out. Topping up sends the customer back to the same failure in a few months. We find the leak, replace what failed along with the filter drier, then evacuate and recharge to the plate specification.
  • Do you replace the filter drier on every sealed-system repair?
Yes. The drier holds the moisture and debris that get into an open system, and reusing a saturated one puts that moisture straight back into the new charge. Skipping it saves a few dollars and buys the next failure.
