- Drain line clogged with biofilm. Slime grows in a warm, wet drain, and once it narrows the line, water backs up into the drain pan or the bin. We clear the line, sanitize it and check the air gap so it drains freely again.
- Drain run that has lost its slope. A drain line knocked out of position or sagging between supports holds water in the low spot. We re-support it so it falls toward the drain along its whole length, then flush it through.
- Water fault from a restricted inlet. A low-production fault or a "checking water" error that never clears can come from the supply side too. We check the valve screen, the filter and the supply pressure before anything in the ice-making assembly is condemned.
