Common repairs we handle.

Auger gearbox worn to the point of stalling. A gearbox with worn gears or bearings stalls when the cylinder is full of ice. We measure auger motor current under load, listen for grinding and inspect the gear train. When the gearbox and motor are both tired, they are replaced together.
Auger bearings and water seal at the end of their life. Worn bearings let the auger wobble and rub the cylinder, and a failed water seal leaks below the freezing cylinder. We pull the auger, check the bearings, the seal and the cylinder wall for scoring, and replace the wear parts as a set.
