Bosch in South San Francisco
Bosch in South San Francisco kitchens.
South San Francisco has two different kitchens. The older housing stock around Grand Avenue and the Sign Hill neighborhood runs Bosch fridges that got swapped in during a kitchen update, usually 500 Series. The new condo towers going up near the biotech campuses on the east side of 101 come with Bosch built-in appliances straight from the developer, fridge, wall oven, and sometimes an induction cooktop as a set.
The biotech and industrial history of this city means a lot of the newer buildings are occupied by people working odd shift hours, so the calls I get here often come in for evening or weekend windows rather than the middle of a workday. That is fine. We book around it.
We also cover Brisbane on the same run, the small city just north along the Bayshore. One technician, one route, both towns.

Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Heat pump assembly failure, no heat and long cycles. Bosch builds the heating element into the circulation pump housing on most current models. When that circuit fails, dishes come out cold and cycles stretch out, sometimes with an E09 code on the display. I check element resistance and control output before I replace the assembly, because a bad relay on the board can look the same.
- Benchmark Crystal Dry zeolite tank, wet dishes on the top rack. This shows up in the newer developer-installed Benchmark units. Dishes come out dry on the bottom and wet on top with no error code at all. It is the zeolite drying tank, not the vent fan people find on forums. I run a service cycle and confirm the tank is not pulling heat before I order the part.
- Induction cooktop shuts off mid-cook, F47 or E5 code. The induction power module has a cooling fan behind the front vent, and when that vent gets blocked by grease or dust, the module overheats and the cooktop shuts itself down. A packed vent run is a job for a vent cleaning service, not us; we say so honestly, because a fresh fuse in a blocked duct blows the next week.

FAQ
Bosch in South San Francisco questions, answered.
-
Is South San Francisco really on your regular route, given how far it is from San Ramon?
Yes. Our technician for this side of the bay is based in San Mateo, not San Ramon, so South San Francisco, San Bruno, and Brisbane are all close to home for him. That is why we can run this area regularly instead of treating it as a special trip. -
Do you work on the built-in Bosch packages that came with the new condos, or just older units?
Both. The condo developer packages usually include a Bosch fridge, wall oven, and sometimes an induction cooktop, and we service all three. Panel-ready units get handled carefully so the cabinet face is not scratched during the pull. Diagnostic is $99, and it goes away once you book the fix. -
Can you come after hours? A lot of us work shift schedules.
We book evening and weekend windows regularly in South San Francisco because so many of the calls here come from people on biotech or lab shift schedules. Tell us your hours when you book and we work the route around it.
