- WED heating element burned open. The drum turns, the air stays cool, and every load needs a second cycle. We check the element for continuity and for a coil sagging against its housing, test the thermostats alongside it, and replace what reads bad. Then we measure heat at the exhaust through a full cycle.
- Thermal fuse that keeps blowing. The thermal fuse is a safety part. It opens when the dryer runs too hot, so a new fuse on its own just blows again. We check the lint path inside the cabinet and the airflow at the exhaust, and look for a crushed hose behind a dryer pushed tight to the wall. If the duct run itself is blocked, we tell you it has to be cleared first.
