- Gas valve coils that drop the flame on a WGD. Heat starts, stops and never recovers, so one load takes two or three cycles. We read the coil resistance cold and again once the dryer has warmed, check the flame sensor, and replace the coil set if one has weakened. Then the dryer runs a full timed cycle to show it holds the flame.
- Cabrio lid lock that clicks but never latches. The washer fills, tries to lock, flashes a code and quits before the spin. We test the lock assembly and its switch against the control and look at the lid strike for cracks. A failed lock gets replaced, and we run a spin to confirm it holds.
- WRF fresh-food side warm while the freezer stays cold. This is usually airflow, not refrigerant. A failing evaporator fan motor, or an evaporator packed with frost from a defrost fault, stops cold air from reaching the fresh-food side. We check both before confirming the failed fan motor.
