Daly City kitchens run on the Doelger tract stock, rows of 1950s homes in Westlake and Serramonte that get gutted and rebuilt one at a time. When a homeowner puts a Sub-Zero column into one of those kitchens, the cabinet box usually stays put from the original build, so the unit ends up in a tighter footprint than the model was drawn for. What we close on the truck.

Condenser fan and coil restriction in remodeled galleys. When a Sub-Zero column goes into a Doelger kitchen without widening the cabinet opening, the fan pulls warm air with nowhere to vent. I see fan motors and start relays fail early on these installs and I check clearance before I touch the fan itself, because a new motor in a blocked bay just fails again.
Ice maker fill tube freeze-up. Ice production slows or stops while the fridge and freezer both hold temperature fine. Usually a partial ice dam in the fill tube from a slow water valve, sometimes the ice maker module itself. I trace the water path before replacing parts.
Column door gasket and hinge cartridge wear. On units past ten years, the door gasket loses its seal at the corners first and the hinge cartridge starts to sag under the panel weight. I check both together, a gasket swap alone doesn't fix a door that's dropped out of alignment.
