Perlick in Hercules
Perlick commercial service.
Hercules is mostly two-story detached and attached homes, built in the 1970s and 1980s inland of Interstate 80 and more recently around the Waterfront. A Perlick undercounter refrigerator or beer dispenser can end up in one of those homes when a kitchen or a family room gets a bar, and the same units serve small commercial counters. They are built for trade use, which is why they are worth fixing when they falter.
Our technician covering Hercules is based in Benicia. The diagnostic is $99, credited toward the repair. ADRIUM holds EPA 608 Universal certification, so a refrigerant leak or a compressor change is handled in-house rather than handed off. You approve a written quote before anything is replaced.

Common repairs we handle.
- C-Series undercounter icing up after a party. The C-Series shares a forced-air evaporator design with Perlick's bar units, and a gasket that no longer seals lets humid air in until the coil ices over. The unit then reads warm with the compressor still running. We clear the ice, replace the gasket, and check the drain and fan so it does not repeat after the next gathering.
- Built-in undercounter starved for air. An undercounter Perlick breathes through the front grille at the toe kick. Cabinetry, a rug or a dusty grille chokes that airflow, and the condenser runs hot until the compressor struggles. We clean the condenser, test the fan motor, and check that the install leaves the grille clear.
- Home beer dispenser pouring foam. On a home beer dispenser, foam usually comes from beer that is too warm, gas pressure set wrong, or a dirty line. We check cabinet temperature first, then pressure and the line, and clean the line if it needs it. If the cabinet cannot hold temperature, it becomes a refrigeration repair.

FAQ
Perlick in Hercules questions, answered.
-
Is a Perlick in a home bar serviced the same way as one in a restaurant?
Yes. The parts, the refrigerant and the testing are the same. The difference is usually the installation: a home unit is often built into cabinetry, so our technician may need to slide it out of the opening to reach the condenser or the back panel. Tell us how it is installed when you book. -
Our undercounter Perlick hums but the drinks are not cold. What should we check first?
Look at the grille at the bottom front. If it is blocked or packed with dust, clear it and give the unit a few hours. If it still runs warm, the likely causes are the condenser fan, an iced evaporator or the thermostat, and that is when to call us. -
How often should the beer line on a home Perlick be cleaned?
More often than most owners expect, especially if the tap sits unused for weeks between parties. Old beer left in the line turns sour and foams. We can clean the line during a visit and show you a simple flush to run between kegs.
