- Condenser corrosion on units near the waterfront. Salt air turns condenser fins to powder over a few years, and capacity falls with them. Where the coil can be cleaned and treated, I do it. Where it is too far gone, I quote the replacement honestly and protect the new coil against the same fate.
- Taproom draft system foaming across every tap at once. When all taps foam together, the fault is upstream: the keg cooler or the glycol system, not twelve faucets. I check keg box temperature and the power pack first, which saves taprooms from paying anyone to rebuild faucets that were never the problem.
- Back-bar cooler struggling in an uninsulated warehouse space. Converted industrial buildings swing 30 degrees between seasons, and a unit sized for a normal bar room falls behind in August. I service the unit to full capacity, then tell you plainly whether the space or the equipment is the limit, in writing.
