Castro Valley covers 94546 and 94552. The flats around the Village, Proctor, and Jensen Ranch run mostly GE, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, and KitchenAid, and Jenn-Air doesn't show up much there. Five Canyons and Palomares Hills are the newer, 1990s-and-later tracts where Bosch and KitchenAid built-in are common and a Sub-Zero or Wolf turns up in the remodeled ones. Jenn-Air sits right in that hillside tier, a step up from the flatland stock and a step below the occasional Sub-Zero.
Most of what we see is a column refrigerator or a French door unit paired with a downdraft range, installed when Five Canyons and Palomares Hills were built out or remodeled since. That puts a good number of these units in the 15 to 25 year range now, which is where icemakers, fan motors, and downdraft blowers start needing attention.
Common repairs we do

- Ice maker and water inlet valve. Column and French door units in the hillside homes slow down on ice production or stop making it. We check the inlet valve and water pressure before replacing the icemaker.
- Evaporator fan motor. Freezer cold, fridge side warm, fan running loud or not at all behind the panel. Motor swap, usually one visit.
- Downdraft blower motor. Range downdraft weak or silent after years of grease buildup on the blower wheel. Clean the housing, replace the motor if that's not enough.
