- Full-surface induction not recognizing cookware. On the CX 482 a zone that stops seeing the pan usually traces to a failed coil group or its generator board, not the pan. The onboard diagnostics narrow it to a segment, we confirm with the service program, and we replace the specific board. Heavy daily wok and stockpot use in Fremont kitchens puts real thermal cycling on these boards.
- 400 series oven heating slowly or unevenly. When a BO 481 takes twice as long to preheat, the usual suspects are the ring heating element behind the convection fan or the relay on the power board that feeds it. We measure the element cold, watch the relay under load, and replace what actually failed instead of shotgunning parts.
- Rotary control ring unresponsive or skipping. The machined control knob on 400 series units is an encoder, and when it starts skipping selections or needs three turns to register, the encoder is failing. It is a precise but straightforward replacement, and afterwards we update the module coding so the oven accepts the new part.
