Can a Teppan Yaki module be repaired, or does it get replaced?

It can be repaired. The elements, the sensor and the control are separate parts, and each one is available through BSH.

Is EBMUD water in El Sobrante easy on a Gaggenau dishwasher?

Yes. EBMUD water is soft to moderate, so heavy scale is uncommon. Set the dishwasher's water hardness setting to match and keep rinse aid in it. Spots that appear anyway point to the rinse aid dispenser or the water temperature.

Do you come to El Sobrante Manor and the homes up in the hills?

Yes, all of El Sobrante, including El Sobrante Manor, the triangle around Appian Way and Valley View Road, and the hillside streets. Mention a steep driveway or tight parking when you book.

Gaggenau in El Sobrante

Gaggenau in El Sobrante kitchens.

El Sobrante follows San Pablo Dam Road and climbs into the hills above it. About three quarters of the homes were built between 1940 and 1979, so a Gaggenau in one of them came in with a remodel. The Vario Teppan Yaki, the steel griddle module, is one piece of that suite with its own faults: uneven heat, a side that never gets hot, or a plate that overshoots.

Our technician serving El Sobrante is based in Benicia. The $99 diagnostic is credited toward the repair once you approve it, and that approval is on a written quote. We are licensed under CSLB #1136642 and independent of BSH.

Common repairs we handle.

Teppan Yaki plate heating unevenly or not at all. The griddle has heating elements under the plate and a temperature sensor that controls them. We measure each element and the sensor, check the control, and replace the part that reads out of range. A cold half points to one element, and overshooting points to the sensor or the control.
Gaggenau dishwasher leaving dishes wet and cool. A failed heating element, a dead temperature sensor or an empty rinse aid dispenser leaves the load wet. We check each one and run a heated cycle to confirm the water reaches temperature.
Combi-steam door gasket leaking steam. Steam escaping around the door fogs the cabinet above and can damage the wood. Years of steam harden the gasket. We replace it, check the hinge cartridges, and run a steam cycle to confirm the seal holds.
